2013 Queen Contest
The Mooreland Free Fair Queen Contest is for a single young woman without children. Candidate entry deadline is June 30, 2013.
Rules
1. Contestants must be at least 14 years of age and no older than 19 years of age as of August 1, 2013.
2. A young woman cannot be a candidate more than twice. Once she has been elected Queen, she cannot participate again.
3. All candidates must be sponsored by a BRV school organization, local organization, local merchant, or be a BRV student. [Sponsors are responsible for convertibles or floats for their candidate to ride on in the parade on Saturday. Young women sponsored by classes at school are responsible for their own decorations of cars or floats, without financial backing.]
4. Contestants must have an 8" x 10" photo of themselves ready to turn in to the committee by Saturday, August 3, 2013.
[The fair board pays for the frames, banners, and flowers.]
Voting
1. Voting for candidates is one penny per vote in the Queen's booth at the fair.
2. Cans are not allowed at any other place!
3. Winner will be announced on Saturday night of the fair.
Prizes
1st Place - $125.00
2nd Place - $75.00
3rd Place - $50.00
Miss Congeniality - $20.00
If for any reason the Queen cannot fulfill her duties, the runner-up will take her place.

2013's Parade theme is "Just Imagine". Floats may be decorated in the parade theme, or the theme of your choice.
